Job Description
We're seeking a passionate Geospatial Analyst to join our Digital Solutions team, supporting projects in forestry, agriculture, ecosystem services, and climate change. The ideal candidate is skilled in spatiotemporal data analysis, programming, and geospatial data science, with strong problem-solving and collaboration skills. Experience in project scoping, innovation, and adaptability is essential. Join us in using geospatial science to drive sustainable solutions!

  • Geoinformatics: Manages and contributes to shared tool kit repository and develops tailored geospatial data analysis algorithms adapted to projects or clients’ needs. 
  • Remote Sensing: Applies and / or develops solutions for remote sensing based environmental monitoring and analysis. Including: Land cover (change), Forest vitality, Biomass and carbon stocks, Ecosystem Service assessments, etc. 
  • Data Science: Supports the implementation of projects and/or surveys by applying statistical modeling, data collection, analysis and / or visualization tools. 
  • Possibility to contribute to database management and analysis: Leverages geospatial databases for efficient data storage, analysis and retrieval.  
Requirements
Essential:
  • MSc in Geoinformatics, Geography, Environmental Science, Data Science, or related field
  • Proven experience in geospatial analysis, remote sensing, GIS application development, or programming
  • Proficient in Python and R
  • Skilled with Docker, Git/GitLab, QGIS, Google Earth Engine
  • Strong grasp of spatial data models and remote sensing platforms
  • Experience visualizing data via maps, diagrams, and technical documentation
  • Comfortable in Windows and Linux environments
  • Quick learner, adaptable, and solutions-focused
  • Strong problem-solving and collaboration skills
Desirable:
  • Knowledge of APIs and web mapping services
  • Experience with PostgreSQL/PostGIS, DBeaver, VSCode
  • Familiar with Markdown and Mermaid for documentation
