Job Description
The Agriculture and Rural Development Department is seeking a highly motivated intern to support the development of an in-depth market study on sustainable value chains and carbon business strategies for agrifood value chains in commodity companies (Scope 3 emissions services, insetting and regenerative agriculture) 
The objective of the market study is to systematically analyze the scope 3 market, insetting and regenerative agriculture demand from companies and explore the solutions offered from service providers to understand its size, structure, trends, opportunities, and competitive landscape.
This work will help inform unique’s strategy for corporate sustainability and climate action initiatives.


Your Tasks
  • Support the development and optimization of a comprehensive market study on regenerative agriculture and Scope 3 emissions
  • Analyze trends, policies and market drivers impacting scope 3 reporting and insetting
  • Conduct research, analyze data, and help structure market landscape and stakeholder mapping (agrifood companies and service providers)
  • Coordinate with internal team members and potentially external stakeholders for information gathering and interviews
  • Draft, review, and develop research content, synthesize findings and summary presentations
  • Document processes 
  • Develop recommendations for a market strategy
  • If needed, assist with administrative tasks and project management

Requirements
  • Enrollment in a program in Business/Management, Marketing, Economics, Agricultural economics, International Business, Environmental sciences or Environmental economics or related fields.
  • Must be enrolled in a University in Germany
  • For an internship contract: must be a mandatory internship (Pflichtpraktikum) 
  • Strong analytical and research skills, ideally with first experience in market research or data analysis
  • Excellent English skills (spoken and written); German is an asset but not required
  • Interest in climate topics, agricultural value chains, and sustainability
  • Familiarity with desk research

  • The position is based in Freiburg, Germany. Our headquarters are just a 5- minutes’ walk away from the main train station.
